Looking for a lawyer in Pierce County? The Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association’s Lawyer Referral Service (LRS) helps individuals find experienced attorneys for a wide range of legal issues.

How the Lawyer Referral Service Works

When you contact LRS, you’ll speak with a Lawyer Referral Coordinator who will:

• Help determine if your issue requires an attorney or another legal resource.
• Schedule a 30-minute legal consultation with an attorney if appropriate.
• Charge a $40 non-refundable consultation fee (payable by VISA or MasterCard).
• Refer you to an attorney who handles your specific legal issue.

Appointments are typically scheduled within 5 business days. Services beyond the initial consultation are arranged directly with the attorney at their regular rates.

Important Information

• Attorneys charge standard rates (estimated at $300–$500/hour in Pierce County).
• LRS does not offer emergency services.
• The $40 consultation fee is non-refundable, unless the attorney has a conflict.
• LRS does not guarantee representation, the service is for consultation only.

Wills for Seniors (Age 62+)

We offer affordable estate planning for seniors aged 62 and older

Flat Rate Legal Services (if eligible for “Simple Will”):

• Simple Will: $200 per person
• Durable Power of Attorney: $100 each
• Health Care Directive/Living Will: $100 each
• Community Property Agreement: $100 each
• House Call (Pierce County only): $100 per visit

Examples of costs of Documents:

• Single Person (Will + DPOA + Health Directive): $400
• Couple (2 Wills + 2 DPOAs + 2 Health Directives + 2 Community Property Agreements): $1000.
